The VPA have organised the Umpire clinic as part of the APF umpiring initiative to take place next weekend (30.11 to 1.12) at the Melbourne Polo fields tournament, as per prior communication.

Our umpire hosting this clinic will be Andrew Williams.

The umpire test is open to all levels and handicaps of players. The VPA strongly advise all players take the time to attend this weekend. For those who wish to become accredited AW will be conducting the on field assessments.

There will be a 90 minute classroom session at the start of the day on Saturday to work through the platforms online umpire test. Please ensure you bring your laptop, phone to hotspot off and have your login credentials to the online platform. If we have extreme heat we may look to make a swap to after the games have been played or even Sunday.

Andrew Williams will be providing headsets and coaching, assisting and assessing umpires both days. He will also be doing the draw for the weekend in terms of umpiring duties.

You don’t need to be playing the weekend in order to participate (although encouraged!) but will need to provide your own umpire horse to umpire on.

There will be a check box on the nomination form for the weekend for those who wish to be assessed on field. It is assumed everyone who plays will be part of the clinic.
