Wednesday Night Chukkas 7th December 2022

Welcome to chukkas at Melbourne City Polo Club. We are so excited to welcome players from all clubs to join us on a Wednesday night. This week Troy McBean will be managing chukkas and ensuring everything runs smoothly. 

PLEASE NOTE - You must wear the correct colour shirt for chukkas. If you are white, please wear a white shirt. If you are green, please wear a green (or dark coloured shirt). This will be strictly adhered to going forwards, punishments for incorrect shirts to be determined!

MCPC polo members will get priority with any time requests. No members chukkas are $30 a chukka. Professional polo players are free.

This year we are going to offer

Lessons with Sam Gairdner before chukkas start at 3 pm. Please contact Sam Gairdner directly 0432 741 404 to book your spot.

3pm young horse chukkas - for young and green horses needing a gentle introduction to polo. We will aim to hold four chukkas each week but could start earlier if demand is high.
 

4pm FAST chukkas - For our participants who are playing in the higher levels of polo, estimated to be 4 goal and above depending on demand. We will look at having 4-5 of these chukkas dependant upon demand.

5/5.15 SLOW chukkas - For our participants who are playing the lower levels of polo, these chukkas will be slower, more relaxed with the emphasis on everyone getting a hit of the ball and having fun. We will still have professionals on the field to keep things moving and help explain any queries that arise.

Please bear with me over the next couple of weeks whilst we see who is around and gauge participation levels for the season.

The committee really want to reinvent chukkas at Werribee and we are welcome to helpful suggestions  to facilitate this. Please direct all  chukka enquiries to Heleni Goodman.

ALSO please use the portal to register for chukkas, even if you are a member. We need to keep track of participation numbers. Nominations for chukkas will close at 4 pm on Tuesdays

This week chukkas will be on Field 3. Please park on the far side of field 3.
