Here are the teams and draw for Saturdays game.
We have the "bald barista" in attendance on Saturday. He provides great coffee, iced coffee, cold drinks and muffins. On Sunday we have a food van.
How to win:
Palmer - 10 teams - 5 league games to create 5 winners who go into the penalty shoot out.
Only one member of each winning team is required (due to the length of the day)
Players eligible to take part shall be restricted to:
those who were listed on the draw for the tournament or
those who played the whole of the match or
the substitute of a player who is injured in the last match but only if the injured player’s inability to take part is supported by a Doctor’s certificate.
Players alternate 60 yard penalties until the winners are reached.
Merang - 6 teams - 3 league games to create 3 winners who go into the penalty shoot out.
Players take turns at 60 yard penalties until the winners are reached.
Obviously this is a BIG day of games. We need your help to stay on time! Please be quick with your changes in between chukkas, if you are on field 3 there is plenty of space to park up there and taps for hoses and drinking water. This is one of the biggest reasons to fall behind so please do your bit, we may get the timer running inbetween chukkas to work to the rules.
The other difficulty arises with changing between your duty and your game, we understand this and have scheduled 15 minutes breaks in between games for that toilet stop and get mounted/unmounted. It really does help if you time keep/goal judge ready to play in your whites and club together with your team mates to ensure your horses are happy and cared for whilst you do your duty.
Most of all the tournament committee hopes you have fantastic fun and safe games and enjoy the competition. I will work on some rough scheduling for Sunday tomorrow. Its not too late to purchase your premium field side carpark space and get the best seat in the house. Once again thanks to Goodwood Park who are providing the prizes on Sunday for our winning teams
